History
DESIGNWORKS’ founder and Principal-In-Charge, Hamed Akhavein, began his career in architecture in San Diego in 1984 after finishing his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture at University of Southwestern Louisiana.
After building his foundation with several architectural firms, Mr. Akhavein opened a partnership practice, 2 DESIGN, in 1988. Two years later, he branched out on his own, creating DESIGNWORKS. Mr. Akhavein is actively involved in every facet of the business. Beyond his responsibilities for design and project direction, he manages the firm’s professional and technical resources. His 26 years of experience give him a deep understanding of quality, scope, budget and schedule.
